Born and raised in the northwestern city of Rouen, in Normandie, France, Olivia DesForges could never have imagined that her dream of living and working in the United States would come true so completely. After studies in topographical engineering at the Le Corbusier University of Rouen, she took the plunge and moved to Westchester in 1997, where she met Claire Maestroni who quickly became a close friend. Fully immersed in the English language and American culture, Olivia took the time to return to an original interest of hers and enrolled in interior design classes through an internationally recognized long-distance French university. After completing her classes, Olivia took some time off to care for her son. However, it wasn’t long before the desire to put her newly confirmed expertise into practice took a hold of her and she answered present as soon as Claire started to develop her idea of opening an interior design boutique in Greenwich. Since then, Olivia has accompanied Claire throughout the expansion of the business into today’s East Putnam Avenue showroom and has proved to be an irreplaceable member of the team.
